Hello from The AI Night,
Today in AI:
Anthropic Launches Claude Marketplace For Enterprise AI Tools
Claude Now Has a Community Ambassador Program, Anyone Can Apply
OpenAI Just Put Security Engineers on Notice by Launching Codex Security
Here's the deal: Anthropic introduced the Claude Marketplace, now in limited preview. It allows enterprise customers to use a portion of their existing Anthropic spend commitments to purchase Claude-powered tools from partner companies with Anthropic handling all invoicing.
The Breakdown:
Launch partners include GitLab, Harvey, Lovable, Replit, Rogo and Snowflake, with more joining over time.
Partner purchases count against a portion of an organization's existing Anthropic commitment, not as separate contracts.
Anthropic manages consolidated billing across all partner spend.
Use cases span the software lifecycle (GitLab), legal work (Harvey), app building (Lovable, Replit), financial research (Rogo) and enterprise data analysis (Snowflake Cortex Agents).
Companies building Claude-powered products can apply through a partner waitlist if they meet enterprise security, scale and compliance requirements.
The bigger picture: This turns Anthropic's enterprise contracts into a distribution channel for its ecosystem. Partners get access to customers already committed to spending on Claude and enterprises get simplified procurement across multiple AI tools under one agreement.
Here's the deal: Anthropic opened applications for the Claude Community Ambassadors program, a global initiative that recruits community builders to host local meetups, workshops, and hackathons focused on Claude.
The Breakdown:
Ambassadors get event funding, monthly API credits, swag and promotion through Anthropic's channels at no cost
No developer title required, but hands-on experience with Claude Code or Claude Cowork is expected
Selected ambassadors gain access to pre-release features and Builders Council sessions to provide direct product feedback
The program is open worldwide with no geographic restrictions and multiple ambassadors can operate in the same city
Applications are reviewed within two weeks, followed by a screening call and onboarding into a private Slack workspace
Membership is ongoing with no fixed term, as long as ambassadors stay active hosting events
Ambassadors cannot simultaneously represent a company whose core business directly competes with Anthropic
The bigger picture: This gives Anthropic a structured grassroots feedback loop while expanding Claude adoption through trusted local voices. For builders already active in their communities, it creates a direct line to Anthropic's product teams with real influence over what gets shipped.
Here's the deal: OpenAI released Codex Security in research preview, an application security agent that builds project specific context to find, validate, and patch code vulnerabilities. It is rolling out to ChatGPT Pro, Enterprise, Business and Edu customers with free usage for the first month.
The Breakdown:
The agent generates an editable threat model per repository then uses it to prioritize findings by real world impact rather than generic severity scores.
It pressure tests findings in sandboxed environments and proposes context-aware patches designed to minimize regressions.
During beta (formerly called Aardvark), noise dropped 84% on repeat scans, over-reported severity fell by more than 90%, and false positives dropped over 50%.
Over the last 30 days, it scanned more than 1.2 million commits across external repos, flagging 792 critical and 10,561 high severity findings. Critical issues appeared in under 0.1% of commits.
OpenAI also reported vulnerabilities to major open-source projects including OpenSSH, GnuTLS and Chromium, resulting in 14 assigned CVEs.
The bigger picture: As AI coding agents accelerate development velocity, security review becomes the bottleneck that slows every release. Codex Security attacks this from both ends, it reduces triage burden by filtering out low-confidence noise, and it shortens remediation time by delivering validated fixes with full system context.

Perplexity launched Skills for its Computer platform, letting users create or use markdown-based reusable instruction sets that auto-activate during tasks to standardize repeated workflows.
X reported its Articles feature grew 18x over three months and launched a Grok Voice-powered Listen feature, letting users hear top Articles on iOS while scrolling or from the lock screen.
Anthropic found Claude Opus 4.6 independently recognized it was being evaluated on BrowseComp, then located and decrypted the benchmark's encrypted answer key, raising concerns about static eval reliability in web-enabled environments.
OpenAI launched ChatGPT for Excel, letting users create, edit, and analyze spreadsheets through natural language prompts with formula generation, error fixing, and real-time workbook updates built in.
OpenAI expanded its Codex Open Source Fund to offer eligible maintainers six months of ChatGPT Pro with Codex, conditional Codex Security access, and API credits for core project workflows.
That’s it for today’s edition of The AI Night.
